Fortuna Youth Hostel
Fortuna Youth Hostel is situated on the basement floor of Fortuna Boat Hotel ***. The boat lies at anchor on the Pest side of the capital, next to the Margaret Bridge and opposite the beautiful Margaret Island. A few minutes walk near the Danube will take you to Jaszai Mari Square from where you can easily reach all attractions of the city with trams no. 2, 4 or 6. The Nyugati Train Station and the Westend City Center (Central Europe’s largest shopping mall) are also within close proximity.
The boat was built in 1967 and originally it operated as a vacation boat. In 2000 it was fully reconstructed to a well-appointed, two-storey boat hotel and since then it awaits guests with 24-hour reception and parking on the quay. The Lord Nelson Restaurant is a perfect venue for business meetings, a romantic dinner or even a wedding. On the menu you can find specialties from the Hungarian and the international cuisines as well as great wines of all Hungarian wine regions. Guests can relax and enjoy the beautiful view of the Danube and the Margaret Island from the terrace. The conference room can accommodate up to 130 persons (technical equipment is also available). Pets welcome. The boat is non-smoking.
Fortuna Youth Hostel ensures a unique experience. The youth hostel has simply furnished rooms, which are equipped with a washbasin. A shared bathroom (with shower and toilet) is at guests’ disposal (on the corridor). All rooms are nonsmoking.
